Great Halibut and Salmon Fishing

Get ready for a full day of great deep sea halibut fishing in Kachemak Bay and Lower Cook Inlet. Be prepared to take home your limit of delicious tasting Pacific halibut or salmon. All captains are U.S.C.G. licensed and take pride in their comfortable, safe vessels. They are professional and will work hard to make sure you have a great time! As you can see from these pictures there was great fishing aboard our boats. With the experience of our Captains and a little luck, your picture may be here next.

  • All tackle, bait, and fish filleting is included in the price of the charter.
  • No hidden costs!
  • Maximum of six fishermen or 16 on the big boat, plenty of fishing space.
  • Each fisherman uses a custom built rod with Penn reel, 100% Spectra line with well maintained matching tackle. No junk!
  • One on one instruction and personal attention from your captain.
  • We fish with other boats for safety.
  • Two halibut per person per day catch limit.
  • Two average 25 pound halibut yield 30 pounds of fillets at a market value of 6-7 dollars per pound. A 190.00 dollar fishing value.
  • You bring a bag lunch, drinks, and light rain gear if needed.
  • An Alaskan sport fishing license is required and may be obtained at Central Charters.
  • One, three and fourteen day licenses available.
  • Small coolers and day packs welcome.
  • Bring your cell phone. They work in Alaska.
  • Tennis shoes or soft soled shoes are the preferred footwear.
  • Vacuum packing, freezing and shipping available via Fed-Ex overnight.
  • Bring you camera for plenty of picture taking opportunities!

1/2 Day Fishing:

Adults ------------------------- $95.00

Seniors 62 and up ----------- $85.00

Due to increasing fuel prices we may have to add a fuel charged to the charter price.

Add 7.5% sales tax to all fishing prices. We have a two week cancellation policy for full refund. Combination salmon and Halibut is $250.00 per person.  Combination of salmon and Halibut are only possible on 6 passenger boats.

Fishing Information

Bring warm clothes, rain gear, rubber-soled shoes, a lunch and beverage.

An Alaska State Fishing license is required and is available in our office.

Halibut fishing is great from May until late September. Limit 2 per day

King Salmon ( spawners ) from May 15, until about June 15. Limit usually 1 per day

Feeder King Salmon (can be up to 50#) year round, avg. 20# to 30#. Limit  2 per day

Pink Salmon late June though August 5. Limit 6 per day

Silver Salmon ( Coho ) July 15 though September 1. Limit 3 per day

Charters refund policy

» $50.00 per person per day deposit required on all reservations

» If you cancel with less than 14 days notice, No Refunds

» No show or last minute cancellations will result in full charge.

» Full refund for fishing charter if we can’t go because of weather or mechanical trouble.

» 80% refund if the boat returns to the dock due to weather and there was no fishing.

» 50% refund if we fish until 11:00 am and must return to the dock due to bad weather
