Homer Spit

A "Spit" is a natural sand bar and the Homer Spit is one of the largest. This picture shows the Harbor near the end of the 4 mile long Homer Spit. The Central Charter Boardwalk is centrally located across from the harbor. You can easily walk to any of our boats, restaurants, gift shops, or Harbor masters office.

Central Charters Office and Gift Shop

Located at 4241 Homer Spit Road in Homer Alaska. We have a large office and gift store. We make mention that we are one of the few with a customer rest room, handicap access, snacks and drinks. We are located across the road from Coal Point the fish processing business and have two restaurants near by. Yes we truly are at "The center of it all on the Homer Spit".

How to Get to Homer

Homer is 220 miles driving distance from Anchorage. Because we have only two lane highways, you should plan on 5 hours driving time. It is a beautiful drive so take your time and enjoy Alaska.
