World Class Halibut Fishing

Join us for a day of deep sea fishing in Kachemak Bay and lower cook inlet. "Homer is the Halibut fishing capital of the world". Fishing is at it's peak from May through September where catching is the norm not the exception! You'll be fishing aboard the 32' diesel powered GRAND ALEUTIAN, one of Alaska's most luxurious sport fishers. Captained by local resident David Bayes, the boat features a heated cabin and restroom, large fishing deck, top quality electronics and safety equipment, and exceptional fishing tackle.

The average days limit of two halibut will yield at least 20lbs. of fillets. With a market price of $15 per pound, that's $300 worth of fish. By choosing a combo trip you can increase the days catch significantly. Combo trips are a combination of 2 species. Several options to choose from; King salmon are usually available all of May and June, Ling Cod, July and August with Silver Salmon usually end of July through August and Black Bass are year round. Single specie, not involving halibut, trips are available also.

What's included:

• An Alaskan sport fishing license is required and available at our office. Also don't forget a Homer Halibut Jackpot Derby ticket!
• Dress warmly,and wear rubber soled shoes. You may want rain gear as well.
• Bring whatever you want to eat or drink. Small coolers and day packs are welcome.
• Make sure you have your camera!!

Halibut fishing is great from May until late September. Limit 2 per day

The F/V Grand Aleutian, a 32’ Albin Sportfisher, which is widely recognized for solid construction and a stable ride conducive to good fishing. Powered by a 315 HP turbocharged Cummins diesel, she is a very reliable craft, features a faultless safety record as well as safety equipment exceeding Coast Guard standards. Your captain David Bayes is Coast Guard licensed, was born and raised in Homer, and is extremely passionate about fishing

Each seat is subject to a $2 booking fee and 7.5% sales tax.
A deposit of $100 per person is taken at the time of reservation and the balance is charged two weeks prior to departure.
There is a two week cancellation policy.
Check in with Central Charters & Tours at least one-half hour prior to departure.
